Information for our future students

Some interesting facts about our village.

We really call this beautiful village - our Chrostnik. At present it looks nice and attractive. New streets and fine modern houses have appeared here lately.
As William Wordsworth, British poet, said: “Every man has a right and interest who has an eye to perceive and a heart to enjoy.”… And we really enjoy it. We like picturesque views around it. We like friendly people who live here. We are always happy to meet numerous guests who visit our Chrostnik.

Among other villages Chrostnik has the longest and the richest history. It is known that in the year of 1135 here was the Catholic Church. And in the year of 1228 appeared information about the well known Silesian family – the Brauhiches. They were the leading knights of Henrik Pobozhny.

In 1723-1728 the descendants built here a nice castle .In the years of 1908-09 two side parts were built. Up to the beginning of World War II this castle was protected as a memorial building of our country. During the war this great place was ruined much.

For a long time the agricultural school was placed in the castle. It was in 1950-1976. But in 1976 the castle was destroyed much after a big fire.

And now some words about Secondary Technical School here. Every year more then 250 young people have a chance to master interesting professions at this school. At their
disposal they have practically everything they need. Great teachers and nice classrooms which are supplied with everything necessary for mastering the future profession, help young people to study and to enlarge their knowledge. And the professions are great!
Have a look :

• the specialist in Forwarding. After our school you can get a fine job at well known companies in our country or other countries (but remember, you must speak a foreign language (English, German or French – all these languages we have at our school);
• the specialist in Architecture of landscape. Isn’t it great to construct something beautiful around us? And you can do it! You can work in different companies which are looking now for good specialists;

• if you like different machines – you can study at our school! In future you will have a chance to find a good company which can provide you with a good job according to your abilities.
